Know Your AT - A Coaching Tip from Coach Bill Leach

You can expect improved training results by using the speed at your Anaerobic Threshold (AT) as a reference point and measuring tool for your critical workouts. Improving (i.e. increasing) the percentage of AT speed for Lactate Threshold and Long Run workouts will result in improved racing performances from 5K to full marathon distances.  Improvements in the percentage of AT speed can be expected to occur for approximately 4 years when executing a well conceived training program.

Contact Coach Leach at 773-793-3917 or bill@coachleach.com for further information on the AT concept including details on testing to determine your speed at your Anaerobic Threshold.

Dietary and lifestyle changes can be brutal for some and a breeze for others.  Always keep your goals in mind, and if you stumble, lick your lips and move on with your life.  If blow it, don’t wait until ‘Monday’ to get back on the horse.  Brush yourself off, get right back on and RIDE!
