GOOD LUCK 2006 BOSTON MARATHONERS!

If you are running the Boston Marathon on April 17th, please join CARA for a social gathering on Saturday, April 15 from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Enjoy an evening of conversation with your fellow Chicago Area runners. We have made arrangements for light fare and drink specials at a smoke free
room at Kitty O'Sheas located at
131 State St. in Boston (right behind
Faneuil Hall). This event is open to you and your guests.

Make sure to say hello to the hosts of the gathering, CARA board members
Dan Daly and Karen Ryan. Also, a special thank you goes to Eliot Wineberg
of Chicago Athlete and Dave Zimmer of Fleet Feet Sports for their
contribution to the event.

If you have any questions about the Boston Party, please contact Dan Daly.

 Nutritional Tips by Kris Anderson

Exercise and athletics place “stop and go” demands on your body as your physical activity builds up and then winds down again.  Proper nutrition helps you store and release energy to match your body’s specific needs during rest, workout and peak performance periods.

Proper nutrition can help you work out longer and harder without creating additional stress on your body.  You can enjoy quicker recovery times, fewer injuries, less illness, and less strain on your immune system.
